Rum Drinks For A Pirate Party
Being authentic may not be a desirable goal for your pirate-themed gathering (at least as far as hygiene goes), but serving up a couple of drinks inspired by pirate history isn't a bad idea. In fact, these three are downright delish.
2 oz Dark rum
1 oz Water
2 cubes Sugar
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1 stick Cinnamon
1 oz Water
2 cubes Sugar
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1 stick Cinnamon
Mix ingredients together and serve straight up in an old-fashioned glass.
Garnish with the cinnamon stick.
2 Egg yolks
1 tsp Sugar
1 cup Ale
2 oz Gin
2 oz Dry sherry
1 stick Cinnamon
Several Cloves
Grated Lemon peel
1 tsp Sugar
1 cup Ale
2 oz Gin
2 oz Dry sherry
1 stick Cinnamon
Several Cloves
Grated Lemon peel
Beat egg yolks in a bowl with sugar. In a saucepan, bring ale, gin, sherry, cinnamon, cloves, and lemon peel just until boiling. Whisk in egg mixture, stirring constantly and briskly.
Garnish with grated nutmeg.
1-1/2 oz Dark rum
3 oz Tomato juice
1 Tbsp Lemon juice
1 dash Tabasco sauce
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
1 dash Salt
1 dash Black pepper
1 stalk Celery
3 oz Tomato juice
1 Tbsp Lemon juice
1 dash Tabasco sauce
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
1 dash Salt
1 dash Black pepper
1 stalk Celery
Add all ingredients, except celery, to a cocktail shaker, mix well, and pour over ice into a highball glass.
Garnish with the celery stalk and serve with a drinking straw.
