Whitewash Crate
- To create our tangible piece of aloha spirit, we start with an unfinished wood crate
- Paint with 2 coats of whitewash enhancer
- No need to wipe between coats, just let dry
Distress Crate
- Create a worn, weathered look by sanding the surface leaving patches of paint behind
- Paint the sanded surface with weathered gray stain
- After 2-3 minutes, wipe off excess stain with a dry cloth
- One coat is just right to look like distressed wood
Set the Scene
- Create a lively and captivating base with a pattern of blues and greens reminiscent of ocean waves.
- Use the distressed wood crate as the center pedestal for the surfer truck
- Secure the sea turtle surfboard to the crate with hot glue or Velcro
- Arrange floral stems, tiki god, and butterflies

- Add sandpiper shore bird
