Quick-Start Setup Guide
Build the beach in layers, then finish with shoreline details. Here's how:
- Prep
- Drill 3–4" birch disc for trimmed reed grass stems.
- Glue plastic grass tufts onto flat marbles for weighted turf patches.
- Stack two 5–6" birch discs on a 7–8" birch disc base to form the lighthouse rock, then cover with black felt.
- Cut glittered silver tulle into 16 rectangular pieces with curved edges & rounded corners.
- Trimmed pieces should be about 18" x 15" to cover disc stack.
- Create the Shoreline
- Start with a sand-colored table cover.
- Cover one-third of the table with light blue fabric for water.
- Lay a sand-colored runner down the center.
- Add a small hidden dune under the left side of the runner to lift the turtles into view.
- Build the Lighthouse Rock
- Layer a few silver tulle pieces on the right side.
- Place the felt-covered disc stack on top of the right end.
- Layer the remaining tulle over discs and crumple the sides to create rocky ridges.
- Add smooth beach pebbles around the base, moss on top, and the lighthouse above.

- Position the turtles, shorebirds, crab, and reed-grass disc with grass tufts on top.
