Behold, the magic of Sugar City! A vibrant confectionary focal point of candyland fantasy and holiday cheer.
It’s fun, it's whimsical, but above all, it’s memorable.
Larger-than-life peppermint trees, macarons, cupcakes, and a Nutcracker soldier, create a fantastical Candyland atmosphere that captivates attention and evokes a sense of playful wonder.
Glowing, pastel-hued towers add an enchanting, soft light that elevates the ambiance and makes the display feel magical and dynamic.
Careful detailing, from sprinkled ornaments to frosted cakes, creates a rich, textured presentation that is visually intricate and cohesive in design.

- Cut white felt to wrap around the inside of each vase.
- Just a reminder: circumference equals diameter multiplied by pi (3.14).
- Add different colors of LED fairy lights and/or tealights to each vase.
- For tealights in taller vases, add an upside down drinking glass to elevate a 2nd light, if needed.
Land of Confection
- Create a land of confection surrounding the city with floral sprays as peppermint trees & cookie flowers.
- Make bases for our sugary landscape with 3-4" (3) and 5-6" (1) birch disk slices.
- Sand each wood disk, then paint glossy white.
- Wood disks make versatile risers & bases for any occasion.
- Easy to paint for coordinating colors.
- Simple to drill or screw into for support.
- Stackable to create varying heights in 1-inch increments.
- You can build tiers with different widths.
- Inexpensive, reusable, & easy to store.
Playful Spin (optional)
- Optionally, add a playful spin to the white tree bases by transfoming them into peppermints.
- Use a ruler to mark 8 sections.
- Paint alternating sections red or pink (to match the nutcracker's base).
Peppermint Twist
- Shape the peppermint trees to mimic the natural twists and contortions of real Manzanita branches.
Candy Curls
- To attach each floral spray to the wood disk, curl the lower part of the wire stem to make a flat coil base.
- Hot glue, Velcro, or staple the coil base to the wood disk.
- For added stability for the larger Manzanita branch, attach with floral wire.
- Mark each side of the curled stem in 3 (or more) places on the disk with a pencil.
- Drill a small hole on each pencil line all the way through the disk.
- Thread floral wire through the holes and around the curled branch stem to hold in place.
- Trim excess floral wire.
Set the Scene
- With the Sugar City skyline in place, position the nutcracker as the charming gatekeeper.
- Arrange the flower & trees on bases for a balance of height and color.
- Decorate the Manzanita tree with blooms of dainty & glittered glass macaron ornaments.
- As a final touch, make a gateway with Waffle Cone Candy Trees on white candlestick pedestals.
- Dim ambient lighting to maximize the visual impact and create a magical effect.
