Breathe life and add unforgettable coastal charm to to your holiday table with a centerpiece of sea-inspired coral Christmas trees.
More than a decoration, this centerpiece is a radiant gift, one that says, “You matter. You are welcome. And I’m so glad you’re here.”
Coral-shaped branches blend coastal elements with festive cheer for an unexpected twist to your holiday table.
Replacing the usual star or angel, each tree is crowned with a starfish to add an authentic coastal touch that is uniquely beachy.
Fairy lights woven through the glittered coral branches create a glistening, dreamy glow that brings the centerpiece to life.

Additional Supplies
- 1 x 4 wood board - 54" long
- True Blue spray paint - glossy
- Blue painter's tape
- Blue satin runner or fabric
Paint Base
- To create this coastal Christmas themed display start with a blue foundation.
- The base for the trees is a single 1x4 board, cut to 54 inches long & painted True Blue to match the satin runner.
- Paint the fairy light battery packs the same color to hide at each end of the board base.
- We used 3 strands of fairy lights across 5 coral trees.
- Note: You can use any color of runner, just paint the board base & battery packs to match.
Plant Trees
- Drill 3/8" holes for each of the 5 coral tree sprays.
- Space the tree holes 12" apart and 3" from each end.
- Trim 7.75" off the bottom of the coral spray stem & insert in drilled holes. Do not glue in place, yet.
- String the fairy lights along each branch from the center stem outward and back.
- Cover about one & two-thirds coral sprays with each 19-foot (includes lead wire) fairy-light strand.
- Run the wires down the center of the board with battery packs at each end.
Make Waves
- Lay the battery pack lead wires down the center of the base and back to the ends.
- Leave enough slack in the battery pack lead wires to place on top to transport the centerpiece.
- Glue coral spray trees in place.
- Tape wires in place with blue painter's tape.
- Mimic ocean waves with cut pieces of glittered silver swirls sprays; we used 3 sprays for this centerpiece.
- Hot glue in place with a 4.5-inch overhang on each end to hide the fairy-light battery packs.
- Secure starfish with white floral wire, or paint wire once in place.
Set the Scene
- For this centerpiece, we chose blue and silver colors to convey calmness & elegance.
- We used blue satin down the center of a silver satin table cover.
- Teal napkins coordinate with the aqua coral spray trees.
Guest Experience
- Finally, take a seat and assess the experience from a guest's point of view.
With each centerpiece I strive to create meaningful experiences that uplift others through conversations, memories, and smiles.
