• Here are some quick tips to bring this festive love story to life on your table.
• First, we need to drill taper candle holes into the top of each log of the 3-tier tealight candle holders.
• Clamp each log of the candleholder before drilling to hold in place.
• Use the 7/8" bit or spade to drill a socket into the top of each birch log about 3/4" to 1" deep.
• If you plan to use open flames, I like to use fire retardant spray on the wood elements.

• Set the tone for a woodland setting with a bold, green-and-black plaid table runner.
• Add a splash of red with a sash, ribbon, or fabric around the base of the burlap pot and place in the center.
• Build a forest with the spruce tree candles & birch slices, arranged for depth and texture.
• For the birch candleholders, trim the taper candles to fit, if necessary, and hot glue in place.
• Place the reindeer at an angle, slightly tilted toward each other, to create a sense of motion.
• Complete the scene by placing the carved wood mushroom and a spruce tree candle at each end.
• This centerpiece is designed to look basically the same from the front and reverse sides.

• Tie it all together by repeating the gray & red colors in the reindeer outfits at each place setting.
• Roll gray napkins and bind with primitive-style red metal bell ornaments.

• Optionally, light the spruce tree candles for a little more sparkle.
