Start your Mexican Fiesta tablescape with Color. Color. COLOR!
No sad, neutral tones allowed—only bold, bright, and unapologetically joyful hues make the cut.

A vibrant bouquet of hand-painted maracas bursts from a white picket fence-style planter, creating a lively centerpiece that blends rustic charm with fiesta energy.
Mini sombreros are cheerfully perched on metallic silver candlesticks, adding unexpected height with a modern twist.
Brightly colored napkins folded into oversized bows and wrapped with sparkling party bead necklaces transform each place setting into a playful, interactive experience.

- Matte black paint
- Mini artificial succulents
- Candlesticks (6)
- Silver or gold spray paint (optional)
- Turquoise satin fabric
Prep Centerpiece

- Start at the heart of this tablescape, hand-painted maracas in a mini white picket fence planter.
- Drill a 3/32" diameter hole in the bottom of each of five colorful maracas to hold the wire supports.
- Hammer a small nail into the end of the maraca to create a starter notch for the drill bit, if needed.
- Next, hot glue the floral foam to fill the fence planter.
Make Wire Supports

- To support the maracas in the planter, we'll use 14-gauge (or heavier) wire supports.
- Cut a length of wire 34-36 inches, then cut down to 5 pieces at desired heights after straightening.
Straighten & Paint

- To straighten the wire, secure one end of the wire in a vise.
- If you don't have a vise, you can attach the wire to a stationary object.
- Chuck the other end of the wire into a drill.
- Turn on the drill at slow or moderate speed.
- Keep tension on the wire while it is spinning.
- Sand & paint each wire support with matte black paint to reduce visibility.
- When dry, cut the straightened wire into five supports of varying lengths.
- For our display, we cut supports into 8-1/2, 6, 5, 4, & 3-3/4 inches.
Set the Scene

- Create the perfect backdrop with brilliant turquoise satin fabric over a white tablecloth.
- Striking serape placemats in vibrant stripes set the stage for a lively fiesta atmosphere.
- Position mini succulents in each corner of the fence planter.
- Then arrange maracas on wire supports for a dynamic centerpiece.
- Add a playful touch with mini Charro sombreros perched on candlesticks at varying heights.
- Optionally, paint the candlesticks in metallic silver or gold for a touch of fiesta glamour.
- Weave red fairy lights throughout the scene for warm, twinkling magic.
Guest Experience

- For each place setting, use a different colored napkin folded into a bow-tie shape for a fun, elegant twist.
- Enhance the look & add some fun with metallic bead necklaces as napkin rings.
- Complete the tablescape with cactus-stemmed margarita glasses and matching stirrers for a final festive flourish.
Reverse View

- The reverse view continues the fiesta experience to create a cohesive scene from all angles.
