Golden Honey Bee Brass Napkin Ring

Napkin rings originated as a way for the staff to keep track of each household members' napkin between washings of the table linens. The ring was removed when the table was set; a napkin with a ring would proclaim that the serviette was dirty (eww). Of course, napkin rings today are a decorative feature to enhance the tablescape.
