Escape to a sunlit harbor bustling with seaside energy.

This nautical themed statement piece features a sunny harbor at peak tide, alive with sailboats, lighthouses, sailors, gulls, and a towering pelican keeping watch. Deep blue fabric, rope, netting, dock pilings, lobster traps, shells, and sea grasses add working-waterfront texture, while crisp navy, white, red, and yellow keep the scene bright and lively.
The dramatic height of the pelican, lighthouse, and sails gives the display presence across a large room, while the low boats, pier, buoys, and fishing details pull guests closer for a second look.

Quick-Start Setup Guide

Prep
- Glue plastic grass tufts onto flat marble pieces to create weighted turf patches.
- Drill holes in a birch disc for cut pieces of feather reed grass.
- Mix water with white, black, and brown acrylic paint to create a weathered gray wash.
- Paint dock sections & dowel pilings with the wash, then dry-brush with white for a sun-bleached finish.
- Use jute twine to form a rope coil & wrap the piling dowels, securing both with glue.
- Arrange tall reed grass and foxtail sprays in glass vases, using blue glass gems for support as needed.
- Fill a 42" x 11" x 6" cardboard box with paper or fabric for bulk, then tape shut.
- Place the box across the back of the table.
- Top with a 48" x 12" wood shelf plank for weight and stability.
- Cover the table and back platform with blue panne fabric.
- Add risers for the sailboat, right buoy, and lobster boat, then use 3" birch discs for the fisherman and dock sections.
- Position the pelican, crate, anchor, and captain.
- Arrange netting and rope on the right, then add fishing details, the seagull, grasses, starfish, and Harpa major shell.
- Fluff glittered turquoise tulle from back to front to create waves and conceal the risers.
- Secure dock sections, rope coil, & pilings, then place seashells & grass tufts around reed grass stems.
- Finish with the remaining elements, using birch disc risers to elevate the lighthouses.
Guest Experience

Create a focal point that is more than just decoration. An oversized pelican grabs attention first, then the scene rewards a closer look as new details begin to surface.
That sense of discovery gives guests an easy reason to lean in, point something out, and start talking. Instead of simply filling the table, the display sparks curiosity, interaction, and a shared experience.
