A: You probably could separate the sailboat from the stand, but we have never tried. The stand is attached via 2 dowels inserted into holes in the bottom of the sailboat.

A: You probably could separate the sailboat from the stand, but we have never tried. The stand is attached via 2 dowels inserted into holes in the bottom of the sailboat. Although the sailboats are made of wood and will not sink, they are not manufactured with the proper balance to float upright. It is for decoration only.

A: No, they are not designed to float upright. In addition, each boat is mounted on a wood base.
