I was very happy with them

The wooden sailboats I ordered are very high quality. The sails are cloth, The boat has a nice sturdy feel to it. The top of the mast even has the red and green lights used at night on real sailboats. I was very happy with them and my guests absolutely loved them!

Q: Do these boats actually float? If you sail them in a lake with waves and they tip over, will the sail become soaked making the boat unable to stay upright?

A: Although they are made of wood and will float, you are correct that they are top-heavy and will tip over. They would require a keel to stay upright.

Q: Could these be modified to use as Christmas tree decorations?

A: Sure, you could easily add something to hang these sailboats from a tree or mount it on top. In fact, the sailboat mast is pretty well centered, so it should hang straight.

It is larger than most ornaments at 7” tall, but not too heavy for hanging, about 2 oz. You could even add mini fake Christmas lights, a wreath on the sail, or a Santa at the helm.

In addition, we do carry Christmas ornament sailboats.
