Setting the Scene

The vision for this centerpiece was to bring a bit of the garden to the table and let it stay as it is. Familiar objects, soft color, and small details come together in a way that feels relaxed, cheerful, and easy to live with.

The boots sit comfortably in the scene. They feel familiar and a little playful, like something pulled in from the garden and put to use without much fuss. Filled with hydrangeas, they hold color naturally.
A slight difference in height between the two boots keeps the arrangement from settling into symmetry. The eye moves across the table easily, picking up one detail and then another.

Butterflies and a single bee bring movement above the table. They introduce lift and color without taking over the space. The motion feels light and steady rather than busy.

Pastels carry through the centerpiece in small layers. Hydrangeas set the tone, with painted surfaces and greenery echoing the palette without repeating it exactly.

Moss, mushrooms, and greenery collect around the base, creating a soft ground layer that feels natural to the scene.
The watering can stays low, resting where it would if it had been set down between tasks.

The nest sits tucked into the moss. It’s easy to miss at first glance, then quietly present once noticed. It adds a sense of care without asking for attention.

A white tablecloth keeps the table open and bright. Lavender napkin ties echo the florals and the watering can.
Everything else stays understated, leaving the centerpiece room to do its work.
Design Notes

- Heights were staggered to keep the arrangement relaxed and unsymmetrical
- Motion was introduced above the table using bees and butterflies on acrylic rods
- The base was layered on a moss mat to feel collected rather than arranged
- Moss mat edges were trimmed into soft curves for a more natural shape
- Organic textured birch disc risers were used to lift elements
- Disc tops were spray painted hunter green to blend into the base
- Overspray on the disc edges echos grass along rocky ground
- Rolled white napkins were tied with lavender satin ribbons
- Optionally, hot glue butterflies directly to acrylic rods and remove floral wire
The Experience You Create

The table draws the eye without overpowering the room. Color and detail hold interest while leaving space for conversation and the simple pleasure of staying a little longer.
